Ce documentaire est mon premier projet universitaire: étant jeune et nouvelle dans un nouveau pays, j’ai accepté n’importe quel rôle dans le groupe où l’on m’a placé sans connaître le sujet. Nous avons fait ce documentaire sur Alex J. Byrne, un comédien magicien. Nous l’avons suivi à Mullingar et Dublin (Ireland) dans des pubs, mais aussi dans un festival d’humour à Smithfield, Dublin.
Cette première expérience dans un pays étranger, avec un rôle qui n’était pas mon premier choix (ingénieure du son), s’est tout de même extrêmement bien passé. Alex était toujours partant pour nous donner des interviews, nous présenter ses amis comédiens et nous intégrer à ses spectacles. Cette bonne première expérience m’a aidé à me familiariser avec le pays, la culture et mes camarades de classe plus rapidement. Ce qui m’a aussi permis de créer une confiance entre nous pour qu’à l’avenir, je puisse avoir le rôle de productrice.
Après ce premier semestre de septembre 2022, mon rôle de productrice n’a jamais été remis en cause!

This documentary was my first university project. Being young and new to a foreign country, I accepted any role in the group I was assigned to, without knowing the subject. We made this documentary about Alex J. Byrne, a comedian and magician. We followed him to Mullingar and Dublin (Ireland), in pubs as well as at a comedy festival in Smithfield, Dublin.
This first experience in a foreign country, with a role that wasn’t my first choice (sound engineer), still went extremely well. Alex was always willing to give us interviews, introduce us to his friends, and include us in his performances. It was a great first experience that helped me get familiar with the country, the culture, and my classmates more quickly. It also helped build trust between us, which allowed me to take on the role of producer in future projects.
After that first semester in September 2022, the rest is history…
